THANK YOU, MY DEAR!

A leprous Samaritan in today’s gospel! Who could be more despised? Yet, Jesus heals him physically without words or fanfare. The man returns to Jesus in total gratitude, and so gains spiritual health. Christ has gifted us also with life, community, opportunity, and faith. But do we return to thank him? Actually, should not gratitude to him define and motivate our entire lives? But where do we find Christ to thank him? Surely, in every person and circumstance. So, dear ones, I thank you now for your presence and goodness. I will try to live my thanks to you more deeply in Christ. Even though distant, we will thereby hear together today’s words from Jesus: “Rise, go your way; your faith has made you well”.
