Surely, God has sufficient glory yet we often pray, “Glory to God”. What does that mean? Glory is not some thing we wish for God, but our willingness to express God within. Since God is love, the more compassionate our love, the greater glory, to God. Jesus proclaims whom we must love and how deeply! “As I have loved you, you should love one another.” Yes, Jesus calls you and me to love each other and whomever we touch. Astoundingly he urges us to love each other as he loves us – and he gave his life for us. Karl Rahner, the astute theologian, proclaimed, “When we really understand the unity of love of God and neighbor…we have expressed the single total task of the whole human being and of Christianity”
