“I’m worried about my finances”, he says. She exclaims, “How I worry about my teenager”! Jesus tells us not to be troubled, but “Believe in God and also in me”.
Why not worry? Because Jesus insists we can believe him when he states, “There are many rooms in my Father’s house”. Jesus continues, “I will come again, and will take you to myself.” Jesus makes this solemn promise to all his beloved. Surely, this minimizes the impact of our present temporary worries. He calls us to personal intimacy with himself now and forever. Yes, we must address present concerns, but we also share a unique magnificent divine destiny with our Lord. He even tells us how to insure this paradise: to know him as the way, truth, and the life. Thanks be to God!
